OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEE’S, TOWN OF CHATSWORTH. HELD IN THE TOWN COUNCIL ROOM AT 7:00 P.M.

 

 

 

ROLL CALL SHOWED THE FOLLOWING PRESENT; PRESIDENT HABERKORN, TRUSTEES MILLER, BIRKENBEIL, WILES, RUNYON, DILLER AND KUBIAK.

 

ATTORNEY WEEKS, TREASURER GERDES-HIBSCH AND CHATSWORTH ZONING COMMISSIONER DOHMAN ABSENT.

 

 

 

A MOTION BY TRUSTEE BIRKENBEIL AND SECONDED BY TRUSTEE WILES TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING WITH THE FOLLOWING CORRECTION:  TRUSTEE MILLER AND (CORRECTION) TRUSTEE BIRKENBEIL WILL WORK ON MAKING AN INVENTORY LIST OF TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT.

     THIS ISSUE BUT HAS NOT YET RECEIVED A RESPONSE

 

 

 

2)  STILL CHECKING OLD COMPUTER RECORDS THAT MAY HAVE THE

 

     ENTIRE CHATSWORTH ORDINANCE BOOK ON FILE

 

 

 

3)  WILL PRESENT THE AMENDED ZONING ORDINANCE  REGARDING

 

      GARAGE HEIGHT AT THE JANUARY 12, 2010 MEETING

 

 

 

4)  STILL CHECKING INTO THE COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENT ON THE 

 

     FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

 

 

 

TRUSTEE BIRKENBEIL STATED THE WALNUT STREET EMERGENCY REPAIR PROGRAM PROJECT (CHATSWORTH SECTION 09-00001-00-RS) FOR TOTAL FUNDS OF $495,000.00 HAS BEEN APPROVED BY IDOT AND THE JOINT AGREEMENT WITH IDOT LOCAL AGENCY & THE STATE OF ILLINOIS HAS BEEN EXECUTED BY THE DEPARTMENT ON DECEMBER 2, 2009.

 

 

 

BOARD DISCUSSED PHILLIP’S & ASSOCIATES, CPA’S REQUEST THE TOWN BOARD CONSIDER OBTAINING A SOFTWARE APPLICATION PACKAGE THAT IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR GOVERNMENT.

 

      A MOTION BY TRUSTEE RUNYON AND SECONDED BY TRUSTEE MILLER TO APPROVE THE MAY 1, 2008 THRU APRIL 30, 2009 ANNUAL AUDIT OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT TO THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, PERFORMED BY PHILLIP’S & ASSOCIATES, CPA’S, AT A TOTAL COST OF $7,200.00.  BOARD OF TRUSTEE VOTE – 6 YEA

 

 

 

BOARD DISCUSSION ON THE MOTION MADE DECEMBER 8, 2009 TO PURCHASE AN ALUMINUM  36” PIPE WRENCH AT AN APPROXIMATE COST  OF $170.00.  BOARD AGREED TO LET MOTION STAND AS MADE ON DECEMBER 8, 2009.

 

 

 

A MOTION BY TRUSTEE DILLER AND SECONDED BY TRUSTEE BIRKENBEIL TO APPROVE LIQUOR COMMISSIONER HABERKORN’S REQUEST TO EXTEND THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2009/10 (NEW YEARS EVE) TAVERN HOURS AS FOLLOWS:  NO ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR SHALL BE SOLD AFTER 2:00 AM AND PREMISES MUST BE FREE OF PATRONS BY 2:30 AM ON JANUARY 1, 2010 – IF FOOD IS SERVED AT PREMISES AFTER LIQUOR HOURS CLOSE, PREMISES MUST BE FREE OF PATRONS BY 4:00 AM ON JANUARY 1, 2010.  BOARD OF TRUSTEE VOTE – 6 YEA

 

 

 

JERRY KURTENBACH/LAKE OLIVER GAVE BOARD OF TRUSTEES A BRIEF UP-DATE ON THEIR PROJECT STATUS. TOWN BOARD & KURTENBACH DISCUSSED AN ISSUE WITH MAINTENANCE REPAIR OF 500 N ROAD AND THE CLOSING OF 600 N ROAD FOR THE WINTER.

 

 

 

LIVINGSTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPT/LT. GLOWACKI REPORTED 42 CALLS AND 17 TRAFFIC CITATIONS ISSUED THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 2009.  LT. GLOWACKI WAS REQUESTED TO HAVE CHATSWORTH RESIDENT DEPUTY

 

PATROL THE PARK AREA IN THE MORNING DUE TO FIGHTING AMONG SCHOOL CHILDREN AS THEY WAIT FOR BUS PICK-UP.  ALSO WAS REQUESTED TO CHECK OUT A POSSIBLE JUNK VECHILE PARKED ON STREET RIGHT OF WAY AT THE CORNER OF 1ST & OAK.

 

 

 

PRESIDENT HABERKORN EXPRESSED HIS APPRECIATION TO THE BOARD MEMBERS THAT HAVE STEPPED FORWARD IN THEIR DEPARTMENTS AND HAVE GOT PROJECTS DONE – ESPECIALLY DURING A PERIOD THIS LAST YEAR WITH THE SITUATION OF AN EMPLOYEE QUITING AND THE REMAINING EMPLOYEE BEING INJURED AND ON WORKMANS COMP.

 

 

 

TRUSTEE WILES HAS REQUESTED DEMOLITION COST QUOTES FROM THREE CONTRACTORS REGARDING 509 E ELM.

 

 

 

A MOTION BY TRUSTEE BIRKENBEIL AND SECONDED BY TRUSTEE WILES TO HAVE BIRKEY’S REPAIR THE BACK-HOE AT A SERVICE REPAIR ESTIMATE QUOTE OF $2,115.00.
