Tuesday, November 8, 2011, Regular Board of Trustee meeting
Official proceedings of the Board of Trustee’s, Town of Chatsworth, held in the Town Council room at 7:30 p.m.
Roll called showed the following present: President Haberkorn, Trustee Miller, Runyon, Wiles, Price, Birkenbeil and Kubiak. Also present were Treasurer Gerdes-Hibsch and Superintendent Ledford.
A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Wiles to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Board of Trustee vote: 6 Yea
Lawyer’s report: Received a brief summary of what he is currently working on.
A municipal lien was placed 410 East Hickory owner has paid $500.00 of the $2114.00 clean up cost so far. 505 East Walnut: The complaint has been filed and an appearance date has been set for November 9, 2011 at 9am.
Other nuisance matters: complaints have been filed and are set for December 9, 2011 at 9:30 am.
A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Birkenbeil to except the offer of $125.00 dollars per acre (total $562.50) from Larry Gerdes for cash rent on 4.5 acres at the Sewer plant.

A motion by Trustee Wiles and seconded by Trustee Miller to issue Christmas Gift Certificates as follows: Full time Employees - $100.000, Part Time Employees- $50.00. Appreciation Gift Certificates to persons that have donated their time and labor through out the year on the Mini Park, Main Street, and Town Park: Joy Dassow, Sharon Zeedyk and Carl Sharp. Board of Trustee vote: 6 Yea
President Haberkorn report: The 500 road in the TIF district is in terrible shape. Have been talking with the Township road commissioner Neil Hornickle he will fill the holes. We need a weight limit on this road but how would we enforce it?
Trustee Kubiak: We need to make sure that new owners of buildings on Main Street are not to be turned into residential use, we have a sample letter that I would like to have them sign that they are aware of the zoning when they have the water turned on: We will have Attorney Weeks look into this letter.
Trustee Miller report: The aerator in the 2nd pond needs fixed at approximately $5000.00 should we fix or check into a new one. We need to look into low interest loans or grants for the water department. The aerator is leaking badly and we need new filters we can not keep putting this off. There are also 6 homes in town that do not have outside readers. These need to be addressed - all houses should be required to have outside readers so we can get a true reading each billing period.
A motion by Trustee Birkenbeil and seconded by Trustee Miller to pay bills as presented and issue vouchers for same. Board of Trustee vote: 6 Yea
A motion by Trustee Kubiak and seconded by Trustee Wiles to adjourn at 8:03 pm.
