Official proceedings of the Board of Trustee’s, Town of Chatsworth, held in the Town Council room at 7:00 p.m.

Roll call showed the following present: President Richard Runyon, Trustees Terry Miller, Will Price, Galen Schaffer and Nick Kubiak: Trustees Josh Bell and Shane Bell absent.

Also present Attorney Weeks.

A motion by Trustee Will Price and seconded by Trustee Terry Miller to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Board of Trustee votes: 4 Yea

Pontiac Wastewater laboratory will stop doing the sewer samples for us at the end of September. Superintendent Maxson has found other labs we will be able to use after September.

Citizen Jeremy Millis asked the Board if it is possible to make the alley at the Post Office a one way going west. His daughter was riding her bike and got bumped by a pick-up truck. The driver saw her in time and she was not hurt. The Committee of Streets and alleys will have to meet to discuss the problem.

There have been several complaints on skunks and raccoons seen around a few abandon houses. President Runyon said we are going to start boarding up these houses. He asked Attorney Weeks to check into the Abandon Property Statute to see how we need to proceed.

Attorney Weeks Report:  On the problems with 505 East Oak Street, The Judge sets out what they have to do. He moved the camper but has not fixed the fence. Any vehicles on the Towns property can be tagged and towed. As far as all the new junk and debris we will have to file a new complaint. We need really detailed pictures to show this is a continual thing. On the 604 North 5th street issue she has paid her fine but has not done the work. I will file contempt on this for September.

The part time Employee list will stay the same for now: Jeff Dehm, Merle Bates, Linda Kinney, Gary Kinney and Ron Galloway for snow removal.

Citizens Advisory Board meets on the First Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. We are always looking for more members to join. The Town Board Members asked that the Citizens Advisory Board needs to keep the Town Board informed of what they are working on or want to do.

Trustee Galen Schaffer Report: Hoping that we will get the south side walk on Main Street finished soon.

Trustee Will Price Report: We had an emergency water committee meeting tonight at 5:00 p.m. We have had a filter go bad so we are down to 3 filters. This Board will be working toward new water plant.

Trustee Nick Kubiak: We have three (3) stumps that need removed. There are more trees that the tree committee needs to look at with me to see what we should do about them.

Trustee Terry Miller: Working on how we are going to be able to finance a new water plant.

Executive session will be for the next meeting because we do not have a full Board tonight.
