Official proceedings of the Board of Trustee’s, Town of Chatsworth, held in the Town Council room at 7:00 p.m.
Roll call showed the following present: President Richard Runyon, Trustees Galen Schaffer, Nick Kubiak, Terry Miller, Josh Bell, and Will Price. Trustee Shane Bell seated at 7:10 p.m.
Also present Treasurer Gerdes-Hibsch and Superintendent Ledford.
A motion by Trustee Price and seconded by Trustee Miller to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Board of Trustee votes: 5 Yea
Deacon George Wagner of Livingston County gave a presentation on the services provided by United Way. The services they provide are for all of Livingston County. He would like to see every community to have a member on the Board for the Livingston County United way.
A motion by Trustee Galen Schaffer and seconded by Trustee Terry Miller move to accept the proposal as submitted by General Materials of Gilman Illinois for the spreading of seal coat materials as identified in the Town of Chatsworth 2013 MFT Program Operation #1 with the proposed price of $13,425.00 and using the unit price as bid and actual quantities utilized to determine the final project cost. Board of Trustee votes: 6 Yea
A motion by Trustee Galen Schaffer and seconded by Trustee Terry Miller move to accept the
Proposal as submitted by Grosso Trucking of Kankakee Illinois for the delivery and spreading of spray patch as identified in the Town of Chatsworth 2013 MFT Operation #2 with the lowest proposed price of $5,552.50 and using the unit price as bid and actual quantities utilized to determine the final project cost. Board of Trustee votes: 6 Yea
A motion by Trustee Nick Kubiak and seconded by Trustee Terry Miller to have Niemann Electric upgrade the electrical in the Town Park and have Trustee Kubiak get price comparison on new sheet metal for the roof or repair and paint. Board of Trustee votes: 6 Yea
The Girl Scouts did a good job painting the pavilion in the Park. A motion by Trustee Nick Kubiak and seconded by Trustee Shane Bell to donate $200.00 to the Girl Scouts.

A motion by Trustee Terry Miller and seconded by Trustee Nick Kubiak to transfer the remaining balance of $67.93 in the DCEO Grant fund to the General Fund and close out the DCEO Grant Fund. Board of Trustee votes: 6 Yea
The Park Rules apply to all Parks in Town Trustee Shane Bell will make sure that Livingston County Sheriff Deputy knows to keep people out of all the Parks after 10:00 p.m.
Trustees Nick Kubiak, Terry Miller and Josh Bell will review the applications for the Part Time Employees.
Some of the Locust Trees are dying in town. President Runyon will contact the U of I extension office for information.
Water Committee met a couple of weeks ago. The water plant needs to be upgraded sooner than later and we need more funds to do it. Need to get the Engineers involved.
The Committee agrees that we should raise the water rate fifty cents per thousand gallons, sewer twenty five cents per thousand for the next five years. This will be reviewed annually.
A motion by Trustee Will Price and seconded by Trustee Terry Miller to do the rate increases as stated above. Roll Call: Trustee Shane Bell Yea, Trustee Will Price Yea, Trustee Nick Kubiak Yea, Trustee Terry Miller Yea, Trustee Josh Bell Yea, and Trustee Galen Schaffer Yea. Motion passed 6 Yea.
President Runyon report: We have had another dog bite in Town. The Girl will have to undergo Rabies shots because they could not find the dog. People need to report dogs running at large to animal control.
Trustee Nick Kubiak report: Can we get an ordinance on cats? Will talk with Attorney Weeks and have for the next meeting.
Trustee Terry Miller: The Library is asking what we can do about the bicycles in front of the Library. Need to look into a Bicycle rack for across the street for them: Will get prices for next meeting.
Superintendent Ledford Report: Do we want to rent a lift this year for tree trimming? I will get prices for next meeting.
I would also like the Public to know that it is very expensive to spray for mosquitos approximately $450 to $500 every time we spray. The conditions have to be right to do the spraying. We will not spray the alleys.

A motion by Trustee Terry Miller and seconded by Trustee Will Price to come out of executive session at 9:30 pm. Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea
A motion by Trustee Terry Miller and seconded by Trustee Shane Bell to increase part time Employee Jeff Dehm’s pay to $14.00 per hour. . Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea
A motion by Trustee Will Price and seconded by Trustee Terry Miller to pay bills as presented and issue vouchers for same. Board of Trustee vote: 5Yea
A motion by Trustee Will Price and seconded by Trustee Josh Bell to adjourn at 9:35 pm.
