TUESDAY, MAY 25, 2010 REGULAR BOARD OF TRUSTEE MEETING

 

 

OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEE’S, TOWN OF CHATSWORTH, HELD IN THE TOWN COUNCIL ROOM AT 7:30 P.M.

 

ROLL CALL SHOWED THE FOLLOWING PRESENT;  PRESIDENT HABERKORN, TRUSTEES BIRKENBEIL, WILES, RUNYON, DILLER AND KUBIAK.  TREASURER GERDES-HIBSCH AND CHATSWORTH ZONING COMMISSIONER BARTLETT PRESENT.  ATTORNEY WEEKS ABSENT AND TRUSTEE MILLER SEATED AT 7:47 P.M.

 

A MOTION BY TRUSTEE WILES AND SECONDED BY TRUSTEE DILLER TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING.

TRUSTEE RUNYON REPORTED THE PROPOSED BUDGET IS CURRENTLY BEING WORKED ON.  TRUSTEE BIRKENBEIL WILL CONTACT PAUL BROWN,

 STATUS OF WALNUT STREET RESURFACING AND BOX CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT.  INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH CHATSWORTH TOWNSHIP PENDING – CHATSWORTH TOWNSHIP PRESENTING AT THEIR JUNE 8, 2010 MEETING.

      AFTER DISCUSSION TRUSTEE MILLER AMENDED THE MOTION AND BIRKENBEIL SECONDED TO PURCHASE DEHUMIDIFIERS FROM CORNER HARDWARE IF THEY CAN GET A COMPARABLE PRICE TO MENARDS.

CHATSWORTH ZONING COMMISSIONER IS IN PROCESS OF UP-DATING THE ZONING MAP.  THE CHATSWORTH ORDINANCE BOOK ON THE INTERNET IS NOT YET COMPLETE – CD HAS 16 ORDINANCES YET TO BE FORMATTED.  ALSO WORKING ON COMPLETING PERMIT & ANNEXATION INFORMATION FOR THE U.S. CENSUS FROM THE LAST 1 ½ YEARS & BACK DATA FOR LIVINGSTON COUNTY.

 

A MOTION BY TRUSTEE BIRKENBEIL AND SECONDED BY TRUSTEE MILLER TO PURCHASE A 57” ROUGH CUT ACREASE PULL BEHIND COMMERCIAL MOWER WITH REMOTE FROM KUNZ ENGINEERING INC. AT A COST OF  $6082.00.

      BENEFITS & HOLIDAYS A FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE RECEIVES.  START

      DATE, IF POSSIBLE IS JUNE 1, 2010 - TRAIN FULL-TIME WITH 

      CURRENT WATER COLLECTOR SHARON BIRKENBEIL UNTIL JULY 15,

      2010.

      WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY OF EACH WEEK AND AFTER SUCH TIME

      AS TRAINING IS COMPLETED BE RETAINED AS A PART-TIME EMPLOYEE

      AS NEEDED.
