Tuesday, February 14, 2012, Regular Board of Trustee meeting
Official proceedings of the Board of Trustee’s, Town of Chatsworth, held in the Town Council room at 7:30 p.m.
Roll call showed the following present: President Haberkorn, Trustee Runyon, Miller, Price and Wiles, Trustees Kubiak and Birkenbeil absent. Also present Treasurer Gerdes Hibsch.
A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Price to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Board of Trustee vote: 4 Yea
Attorney Weeks reported by phone and fax that Rail America offers a one time buy out fee of $10,000 for the lease. The Board will make a decision at the next regular meeting on February 28, 2012. The Board reviewed consent to demolish residence letter and agreed to have Attorney Weeks move forward.
Update on 500 road -Trustee Miller talked with Jerry Kurtenbach about the 500 road. He agrees that we can turn this road back over to the Township. We will have to schedule a meeting with their Attorney and Attorney Weeks to get started on the procedure of removing parcels from the TIF so the road can be turned back over to The Township.
A motion by Trustee Runyon and seconded by Trustee Price resolution (#412) it shall be the policy of the Board of Trustees that any uniforms or clothing purchased for employees shall be made with Board approval. Board of Trustee vote: 4 Yea
Update on Aerator for sewer plant – Trustee Miller leaning toward fixing the old one but still want to check out another type before we make the final decision.
A motion by Trustee Price and seconded by Trustee Wiles to move ESDA to the Fire Department.

Tree bids to remove 2 trees and grind stumps at 207 East Elm. Robisky Tree service $1000. - Galloway Tree Service $900 - A motion by Trustee Runyon and Seconded by Trustee Miller to accept the bid from Galloway Tree Service for $900. Board of Trustee vote: 4 Yea
President Haberkorn report: The Sibley Burr Oak Relay for Life Tractor Drive will be coming to Chatsworth this year. Exact date not set yet will give more information later.
Trustee Runyon report: Need to put together a Capitol Improvement plan, the water plant needs a total update and we need to know what the costs will be so we can look into financing such a large project.
The whole at 106 East Oak needs to be filled in. Superintendent Ledford stated we have been trying to locate the owner. We have made several calls and sent letters to the owners last known address no response yet, we gave a deadline of February 29, 2012 in the letters for him to contact the Town. If we do not hear from him we will ask Attorney weeks to work on a court order to fill in the hole at the owner’s expense.
Trustee Wiles report: Ordinance Officer Ledford developed an ordinance violation ticket sample. He would like to be able to issue tickets or warnings this would save time and money from sending letters.

Attorney Weeks said the ticket sample looked fine and we could do this. The Board agreed. Ordinance Officer Ledford can move forward with issue of warnings and tickets for Town Ordinance Violations.
A motion by Trustee Runyon and seconded by Trustee Miller to pay bills as presented and issue vouchers for same. Board of Trustee vote: 4 Yea
