Tuesday, January 10, 2012, Regular Board of Trustee meeting

 

 

Official proceedings of the Board of Trustee’s, Town of Chatsworth, held in the Town Council room at 7:30 p.m.

Roll call showed the following present: President Haberkorn, Trustee Price, Kubiak, Miller, Runyon, and Wiles, Trustee Birkenbeil absent. Also present were Treasurer Gerdes-Hibsch and Superintendent Ledford.

A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Price to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea

 

Sheriff’s Deputy Douthit came to introduce himself to the Board. The Board welcomed him to town and thanked him for coming in to meet them.

 

Citizen Susan Heald donated a computer to the town of Chatsworth.

The Board read the letter from Boomgarden Trash Hauling. The contract with Central Illinois Disposal is not up until December 31, 2012 at which time the Town will ask for bids.

 

Trustee Miller is researching the cost of different types of aerators for the sewer plant. There is not any big hurry to rush into buying something.

 

 A motion by Trustee Wiles and seconded by Trustee Runyon to donate $300.00 to show bus

A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Kubiak to give Trustee Wiles the go ahead to get with Attorney Weeks and Ordinance Officer Ledford on getting condemn and demolish orders on 612 East Locust, 210 East Cherry and 208 East Cherry Street. Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea

 

President Haberkorn report: Chatsworth Road Commissioner Hornickel will attend the next Board meeting to discuss the 500 road.

 

A motion by Trustee Wiles and seconded by Trustee Kubiak to not pay for the 3 pair of jeans purchased on the Visa card and Superintendent Maxson will have to reimburse the town for the jeans.

 Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea

 

Trustee Runyon report: I would like to have a committee meeting with 2 other Board members to resolve the clothing issue. Trustee Price (Human resources) Trustee Runyon (Finance) and Trustee Kubiak will meet to set a policy.

  

A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Kubiak to pay bills as presented and issue vouchers for same. Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea

 

A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Wiles to adjourn at 8:05 pm.
